If your child is missing
Act immediately. Contact your local law-enforcement agency first. After making that report, contact NCMEC at 1-800-THE-LOST (1-800-843-5678). In the United States, call 911 for immediate danger.
The U.S. Department of Justice provides this reporting sequence and links to national missing-person resources. Outside the United States, use your local emergency and missing-child services.

Love a Life's supporting role
Our mission includes supporting efforts to locate and recover missing children believed to be experiencing sex trafficking. Cyber Guardians research can contribute relevant leads for referral to law enforcement.
A missing-child report does not by itself establish trafficking. Keeping facts, concerns, and unknowns distinct helps maintain a clear picture of what is known. Search and investigative decisions belong with the responsible authorities.
Help without exposing a child
Use official missing-child notices and reporting contacts. Avoid adding unverified allegations or private family information when sharing a notice. Do not post an address, suspected location, or a child's sensitive history online.
If you have information that may matter to a case, share it with the agency listed on the official notice. Do not approach someone you believe may be involved or organize a search at a private location yourself.
Talk with us about support
Organizations and qualified professionals can contact Love a Life about collaboration. Start with a general description of the request and an official organizational contact. Do not attach sensitive case material to an initial website inquiry.
We cannot promise case acceptance, deployment, response times, or a particular outcome through this website. A family should never delay an official report while waiting to hear from us.
Questions, answered.
Should I wait before reporting a missing child?
No. The Department of Justice says to act immediately: contact local law enforcement first, then NCMEC at 1-800-843-5678.
Does a missing child mean trafficking has occurred?
No. Missing-child situations have different circumstances. Report the facts you know and let the responsible authorities assess the situation.
